Pretty simple shot on a calm spring night in Prescott, AZ. I love the simple beauty of a crescent moon picture through a telescope. The image was created using lucky imaging in which you take a short ~50 second video at ~30ms exposure / frame, and then use the best ~50 images out of ~1500, and stack them together to get the clearest image possible. As opposed to the typical planetary imaging techniques where you use a long focal length telescope (~4000mm) to achieve high magnification on a small pixel (~2.9 micron pixels over ~1MP), this image uses my larger format astro camera cropped down to 1080p (~4.6 micron pixel size), and was taken at a focal length of 430mm. Simple shot, simple explanation!
